![]() ![]() ![]() The Monk and all three subclass pages can now be found with the rest of the subclassess below including the Way of the Open Hand, Way of Shadow and Way of the Four Elements. This comes with 3 new Subclasses, each with varying traits and characteristics that provide different interpretations of what a Monk is. Since the official class roster release, the Monk has since been added to the available Classes in Baldur's Gate 3. This could open up new unique quests, dialogues, interactions, combat, animations, and experiences based on your chosen Class and Subclass as well as your chosen Background and Race. Developers even pointed out that Paladins no longer have to portray a loyal noble knight depending on the selected subclass, but instead, be driven by revenge which shows the contrasting characteristics of each subclass even when they are from the same Class. Each subclass per Class will have complex distinct characteristics and interactions depending on the combination you proceed with during Character Creation. These are also then divided into different subclasses which also differ in combat, playstyle, skills and strengths. Select one to view the Subclass description, the associated Actions and Subclass Features before proceeding to the next step, which is to choose your Background.Įach Class will have an average of 3 available subclasses, while others may have more.Įach Class in Baldur's Gate 3 comes with unique interactions because of their special abilities and personalities. Note, however, that the warded creature, i.e. ![]() If the warded creature makes an attack, casts a spell that affects an enemy, or deals damage to another creature, this spell ends. ![]() Just for clarification, an errata for the PHB was released in November 2018. The errata does not change this answer, though. Dealing damage now ends Sanctuary, thus Dragon's Breath, Breath Weapon from Dragonborns and other effects that had this loophole now end Sanctuary. 1ġ Both of these statements are not true any more due to November 2018 errata. For example, Dragon's Breath also doesn't end it - even though it does something pretty against the usual conception of Sanctuary. So, if you are not running RAW, it's up to the DM how he sees Sanctuary working and what should end its effect or not. It's also arguable if issuing the command is the same as actually using your action to "recast" the spell, as in Witch Bolt. issuing the command "Attack them" to your wolves) would end it as well. Extrapolating this line of thinking, not only casting a spell to affect an enemy creature, but using it (e.g. From the same tweet above, Witch Bolt should end Sanctuary. When you cast Conjure Animals, you are not affecting an enemy creature (you are only Conjuring animals). RAW, the spell only ends Sanctuary in the moment you are casting the spell. ![]()
